Notice to Clients Regarding the HearCANADA Baseline Road Clinic Fire

On February 4, 2026, the HearCANADA clinic located at 1917 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 0C7 experienced a fire that resulted in the complete destruction of the clinic. We are grateful that there were no injuries.

As a result of the fire, many paper records sustained significant damage. While the majority of client records are maintained within our secure electronic client management system, some older paper documents may have been permanently lost.

Where records cannot be recovered, HearCANADA will make reasonable efforts to reconstruct the information from available sources, where appropriate and necessary to support your ongoing care.

Following the fire, the damaged records were secured immediately. The clinic remained under the control of emergency responders until it was secured by a professional restoration company. The paper records were subsequently transferred by a professional restoration company to a secure storage facility. At no time are we aware of any unauthorized access to client information.

We recognize the importance of protecting your personal health information and are committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of your records. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this incident may cause.
