How we can help
Online hearing test

What is an online hearing test?

An online hearing test is a five-minute assessment used to test whether your hearing abilities fall within normal limits. If the result is red or yellow, we will provide you with information about hearing loss and hearing aids, and will gladly schedule you for a complimentary hearing consultation.
Before taking the test

Our recommendation

We highly recommend you take the test in a quiet environment, preferably using headphones instead of built-in computer speakers as this will produce a more accurate test.
It is important to note that this online hearing test is not a diagnostic hearing evaluation. You should always seek out a hearing healthcare professional or general practitioner if you suspect that you have a hearing loss. The purpose of the test is to help you determine whether you could benefit from a comprehensive in-clinic test.

How Does The Hearing Screening Work?

The screening takes five minutes and the purpose of the free online hearing test is to pinpoint your hearing challenges. By testing your ability to hear messages in noisy environments and high frequency sounds, the online hearing screening will be able to determine whether you should consult a hearing healthcare professional.

As you start the screening we will ask for a bit of information about you. We use this information to improve our ability to calculate your results, and to email you the results once the screening is complete.

The screening will prompt you to answer questions about your hearing. Once the questions are complete, you can begin your audio set up. Make sure you are in a quiet place; it is recommended to use headphones with your computer volume at 100%. You will then begin to check your hearing with the screening.

You will then receive the results of your hearing screening. If the results indicate that you might have hearing loss, you can request an appointment for a follow-up consultation with a local hearing healthcare professional. You can request an appointment here.

Complimentary hearing consultations are valid for those over 50. Not applicable on third-party claims. Other restrictions apply, please see the clinic for details.
