Rechargeable
hearing aids are quickly becoming a popular option for many people. Rechargeable hearing aids have a built-in lithium-ion battery that does not require routine replacement, unlike hearing aids with traditional
disposable batteries. Instead of changing the batteries, you charge your hearing aids each night on a charging unit, similar to how you would charge a smartphone.
Longer Battery Life
With rechargeable hearing aids, the days of changing your batteries every 3-10 days are over. Rechargeable batteries provide certainty to the wearer that their hearing aid(s) will be ready to use each morning after a night’s charge and hold a charge throughout the day. One full charge is enough to power the hearing aid for between 16 and 29 hours, depending on the hearing aid, features used, streaming time, and hearing loss severity.
In addition, rechargeable batteries have a much higher capacity to withstand inclement weather and severe conditions. The lithium-ion batteries in rechargeable hearing aids suffer little to no loss in cold weather.
